I am going to refrain from commenting on Jack Abramoff because frankly the blogosphere is already hip deep in this one. I have very little to say except that we should treat people as individuals -- and let those Republicans go to jail which were part of sleaze. Throw them under a (metaphorical) bus.
There will be many group-thinkers and Kos Kids who will say this is something endemic to Republicans. It’s approximately the same logic that would dictate that Democrats are mistress-killers, so I would advise restraint if you are presented with that crap.
But I was motivated to write by this very personal account of Mr. Abramoff over at GayPatriot. Give it a read, imagine an idealistic human being somehwere in the past, and then watch the wave approach.
